Individual liberty is threatened by the growing political power of the Christian and Islamic?
In the U.S., no politician can be chosen without reference to God or Christian values, whether religious or not. Similarly, Australia and elsewhere euthenasia the debate, abortion, etc. hindered by the religious order to vote. In Australia, the federal government currently pays an agency to advise women on abortion Catholic, and Christian ministers to act as youth counselors at school – without using consultants trained non-sectarian. Despite concerns about population growth, both by States USA and Australia stifle the promotion of family planning, especially in the third world. NGOs lose their funding in this! Elsewhere, restrictions Islamic religious life can be even more draconian, and could deteriorate under Sharia law, requested by the fundamentalists and hard for the "moderates" to resist, as it does in the apostates View fundamentalists, worthy of death. The West is also on a slope of "slippery" Canceling of the Enlightenment and its aftermath?
Whatever they say, organized religion has become a scourge to mankind. It creates arrogance and division and The impasse led to true spiritual development, both individually and collectively.
